That yellow model 5 might of been removed from the Dunlap firehouse in Colerain Township. That SD-10 on th...

You should probably change that Groesbeck siren to an H model Sterling (the M was a low speed siren with a brake mechanism). I've never seen siren 131 on the map, so I don't know if it's also an H.

Sterling dual-tone siren

I made another video of the Sterling at Colerain Fire Station 26 today. This one has less ambient noise than the video I made last November. The tornado watch was replaced with a severe thunderstorm watch a little before 1 AM Saturday. Wasn't any warnings, but the power was out here for 5 hours 40 minutes this morning. Mostly saw cloud-to-cloud and in-cloud lightning (not much thunder), brief moderate rain and 25 mph wind gusts.

There once was a Thunderbolt at the corner of US 127 and Hunter Road in Fairfield. Can't say if it was a 1000 or 1003. A 2001 sits in its place now.

I went by the church that's at I-275 & Kenn Road last Thursday...couldn't tell if another siren was put up (sound barrier walls are going up all the way to the bridge).

I have a couple of questions here: My first question is: Back in the 1990's, did they not activate the sirens just for a Severe Thunderstorm Warning? My second question is: Why did they stop testing the sirens twice a month? Thanks! From about June 1986 til the end of 1991, they were turned on for ...

The estimate published a few years ago was about $5.5 million to upgrade the system, that might also include the cost of filling in the parts of the county that don't have sirens now.

Oldest Thunderbolt in the county dates back to late 1953 (that was discussed in another thread here).
