Yep, Emergency's sirens were dubbed in. If you watch the first season, with the Crown Fire Coach engine, there is a CP-58 speaker center mounted on the front of the truck. But the siren sound is mechanical. (They didn't have the mechanical sounding electronics back then, LOL). Just another interest...

If we can only do that here....

Here's is one of those oddball model 5's sounding for a statewide tornado drill in South Dakota. Skip to about 3:43 in the video to hear the siren and watch the housing wobble. Not my video by the way.

Sounds more realistic compared to the EOWS series. I wonder why the wouldn't use attack for fire calls instead of the air horn as posted in the review of the video.

It's nice sounding . What color would you repaint it to when you finish the restoration? The orginial red or another color?
