Does this siren have a custom timer on it or just a messed up AR?

I don't know exactly what kind of timer it has, but it was programmed to sound this way on purpose.

I have the means of recording high quality audio in stereo, because I run a recording studio. I would be more than willing to make a trip down on test day to get a good recording. Does anyone know if/when they test? That whole group of FD's that Glassport's a part of has a pager/siren test Tuesdays...
