I just want to report that E D Bullard Co is still in business and making great personal protective equipment. www.bullard.com. My grandfather made sirens during WWII because the WPB wouldn't let him make his favorite product, the hard hat (which he invented.). So he made first aid kits and sirens. ...

During WWII, production from factories was dictated by the War Production Board.
