Better now than never to public these considering the event this thing was concocted for is already happening.

Re: MIni ACA CODED hurricane

I own a piece of a hurricane now if you could call it that. I have the telephone relay from Addyston. Sadly it's not in the best condition but it is still what it is.

Waterbury, CT Civil Defense system map

A map of a relatively obscure CD system in CT. Would be nice if some documentation of this system turned up somewhere, but alas.

Re: FS&S 3T22 "RC6-A" Tag Identification.

I'm rightfully unsure if the serial has any real meaning. It's been observed on RC6s of the era (mid-70s) so it's not anything uncommon per se. For what it's worth, an RC6 is a motor starter.

Re: Hello again (T1000A restoration)

Those rotator parts are from my first Thunderbolt! I could recognize the god awful paint job I laid down on it years ago from a mile away. I'm glad the parts are going to a good home and an even more worthy cause.

Re: Any remaining Peach Bottom or Limerick Thunderbolts?

They may just be another Peach Bottom Thunderbolt. This picture is from 2023 and the siren is located in southern York County, close to I-83. What's weird is that I don't see a replacement T-128 anywhere around it, so I don't know for sure if this is a Peach Bottom Tbolt. There is actually a later ...

Re: ACA Hurricane Map

That's a Thunderbolt. The picture is from 1975 and the article on the map for these alleged Mk 2s is from 1979, not to mention the shape is totally wrong for a Mk. 2 hurricane or any hurricane for that matter of fact. Unless there were healthy thunderbolt sirens Thunderbolts are NOT 130 decibel sir...

Re: ACA Hurricane Map

I don't know if this will be good enough to include, but I found this photo in 1832 43rd St in Kenosha, WI. You can kinda see the Hurricane. That's a Thunderbolt. The picture is from 1975 and the article on the map for these alleged Mk 2s is from 1979, not to mention the shape is totally wrong for ...

Re: The death of the ACA Howler, And a call for action

The safety of a town's residents is a lot more important than what a niche community wants. Any piece of old equipment that hasn't been maintained in who knows how long is a liability more than an asset to a town. And cost wise as well, it might be a lot cheaper to just get a new siren which a commu...

Re: Hello again (T1000A restoration)

That's a lock washer for a bearing, to be exact a W-02 sized one. You can get them off of EvilBay for a couple of dollars.
