Rosemount T-bolt update

The 1000T that is at 142nd St. and Emery Ave. (about 1 mile SE of where the T-bolt at Hwy 52 & 55 was) is still there as of 7-16. Technically, this siren is at a Rosemount address, no doubt the furthest-east siren in the city limits. Logically, this will be the next to go. Two short years ago, t...

Another fallen Rosemount Thunderbolt

On July first, they removed the thunderbolt that sat at the junction of HWY 52 and HWY 55. The siren was there when I drove by that morning, but by that evening, the siren was gone. The pole is still there, but so far no new siren has been installed there. I had to take a side trip to make sure the ...

Soundmaster in Gibbon, Minnesota

The last time I'd gone through Gibbon, this siren was red. Apparently when the water tower got repainted, so did the siren. I don't know if this is active or not. There is a new Whelen of some type a couple of blocks to the south of this, so I figured I'd best get pics while I could. Mike http://i27...

I remember from the Plymouth siren side profile that the lower portion of the horn reminded me of a pouting kid with his lower lip stuck out for some reason. The horn actually seemed to be ever so slightly angled toward the ground. I thought that the reason it appeared that way was to prevent water ...

I am surprised the square-horned Hurricanes were that few in number. There used to be one in Plymouth, MN right next to I-694. A 2001 is there now. I can maybe thank that siren for my increasing interest in them. I was aware of thunderbolts (didn't know what they were called back then) but one with ...
