I have only noticed sirens on the west side. If I see anything east I will update this post for you.

Not sure if there were any Hurricanes. When I lived there in the late 90's there was a thunderbolt on top of Madison Elementary at Locust St and Brady. Everything else was Whelens.

In Davenport east of SAU at the intersection of Locust and Brady there was a T-bolt on top of the school on the N/E corner. That is a natural gas fired power station. It is called Kendall Energy Plant. There is also another sw of there near Route 52 and Cedar Rd in Manhatten IL.
