Re: What is the difference between a Model 5 and a Model 7?

Do a 12-port Model 5 and a 12-port Model 7 sound any different?

Former Allertor locations in Mason City, IA

Where are the former locations of the rare 10/12-port ACA Allertors in Mason City, IA? According to Troy Sundt, they were clearly labeled "Allertor 130."

Re: STH-10 and elusive Model 5 in Philipsburg, PA

The Hope Fire Company doesn't have a belltower so it has to be the borough hall, BUT I know for a fact it was on the back of the building which would mean they would have had to disconnect it, re-route the wires to the belltower, and mount it. Also photo evidence is there that shows no siren in the...

The bell tower on the Borough Hall or on Hope Fire Co? I have seen pictures of the Borough Building's tower and cannot see a siren in there.

Re: Rare 10/12-port Allertor(s) in Lee's Summit, MO?

Dillon and I will be passing through there next month. If you can get me an address, I will most certainly stop by and take pictures for everyone. The Allertor I know still remains is on a platform between two utility poles at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, on NW Murray Rd. Judging b...

Re: Which countys have ACA Allertors?

Loudoun County, Virginia has a few of them still remaining. There used to be Allertors in Middleburg, Philomont, Neersville, Lovettsville, Arcola, Round Hill, Lucketts and possibly Purcellville. Now, the only ones remaining are Philomont (active as a fire siren), Lucketts (decommissioned) and Arcola...

Rare 10/12-port Allertor(s) in Lee's Summit, MO?

The ACA Allertor in Lee's Summit, MO looks exactly like the former Mason City, IA Allertors, in the color and the way it is mounted. The Allertors in Mason City had the 10/12 port ratio, which is very rare, but may be more common than we think. The Allertor in Lee's Summit also has the shallow intak...

Roof-mounted sirens not on the very top of the roof

I think roof-mounted sirens should always be on the highest part of the building. Here are some examples of buildings/sirens where that is not the case. http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q= ... 0283201831 Model 3 in the last picture. https://scontent-b-iad.xx.fbcdn.net/hph ... 0519_o.jpg ...

Sirens in the South Lee section of Lee, Massachusetts

I hear that the silver Model 5/7 on top of the South Lee fire station is a 5/7T, not just a regular 5/7. Is that true? There is also another siren in South Lee, that sirs atop the Willow Mill, a half mile from the Model 5/7T. The second siren is light-blue in color and I believe it is a Model 3 but ...
