If it’s super loud it’s most likely a 5M. There has been speculation and here’s and there’s but I can tell you as can a few other people on...

That’s awesome! I never got a chance to really hear this one like this and it has the same tonal quality of the one on West Bank minnisoda! (Well duh coastal their both 4/5 thunderbolts with 6M blowers...)

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

Re: Siren photos from the Oregon and northern California coast (large photos!)

Ep... freakin... ic... boy I sure wish I could’ve seen that... but oh well. Anyways it’s funny that they used a privately owned one... i actuallly finally saw the one in la, Canada flintridge/Glendale. The only problem is, nobody knows who rightfully owns it.

Where at the park is it located?
If you want a possible quicker answer may I point you at the “thunderbolts in existence” siren map? Or the Cali ones? You should find you answer there.

I wonder if the tone of a horn carries further than that of a siren "even though they're not any louder"?
It can. Again it depends on atmospheric conditions. I’ve heard train horns (especially low toned ones) from pretty far away. But it
Also depends on the siren.

Re: Train Horn Range?

Depends on the atmospheric conditions. I would put train horns at about a model 5. Maybe even a hair quieter.
