Re: Miscellaneous Siren Photos Thread

I was thinking that too. But the close spacing of the Modulator makes me think it was a replacement.

Paint's done!

So over the past few weeks and the new year  I painted my siren... but it wasn't plain sailing like with the other 4 generations of siren housings. I added grey primer on first and then the yellow paint. But, for some reason, it ran after a possible reaction with the primer. So, I let it dry a...

Re: Nine Mile Nuclear will be upgrading this year.

Please excuse the double post, but I contacted ANS today and got a hold of someone. They have me the Exelon person to talk to about the Thunderbolts. I'll be giving some updates as to what's happening hopefully by later tomorrow. On a side note, is it just Thunderbolts that are going down? I could'...

Re: Wiring Help

It has happened before with the 'fire' button connected to attack on the AR timer for a Thunderbolt 1003 with a closed solenoid.

Re: Any news on the "new Tbolt"

Yeah... but I think their reluctance of bringing it back plays the biggest part in this, no matter how hard we plead them.

Re: Any news on the "new Tbolt"

It was probably something the owner of that FB page did to see what kind of ideas we would have, doubt they'd really bring it back though. What with the high maintenance and all that. If they did bring it back, it would be a miracle in itself, since the amount of rambling on about how inefficient i...

Re: New mini siren housing finished!

It's built like that with preservation in mind because the siren is 40+ years old, so I don't want it to fade and go brittle. (I've seen a 240v minimite which was grey and had 1/2 of the stator left.)
But anyway, thanks!
