Re: Flickr photos I found. Plus a surprise!

I think that on Google images they will be A EOWS 816 if you search "EOWS 816".

This was a test conducted about 5 years ago between an ASC iForce-1600, a Federal Signal Modulator and a Whelen WPS-2904.
I'm surprised the Mod had pretty good ratings for voice.

well, i found out that federal did away with the 13 selectone tm tone modules that fit thesiratone panel. but they did replace it. It's called UTM, Universal tone module. And it has 32 tones. I bought one and should get it before the new year. http://www.federalsignal-indust.com/default.asp?pageID=...

Re: What are the differences between the Modulator 6024, 6032, and the 6048?

To clear up the confusion because I actually own newer federal Signal controllers. Modualtor, Generation two. image.jpeg As displayed in the photo above. The Mod II. uses 4, 100 watt drivers. Totalling 400 watts per cell. The UltraVoice controller that powers this siren uses 400 watt amplifiers. Th...

Re: What are the differences between the Modulator 6024, 6032, and the 6048?

No, two 100 watt drivers are connected together by an adapter and feed into one of the channels inside the cell. I don't have an image on hand of one of the cells, but given that I-Forces are designed in a similar way with 800 watts per cell here's a screenshot of the guts. The drivers together fee...

Re: What are the differences between the Modulator 6024, 6032, and the 6048?

Number of drivers. The Mod 6024 has 1 driver per channel for 24 100-watt drivers total. The Mod 6032 had two 100 watt drivers per channel in the center cells for a total of 32 drivers. The 6048 had two drivers per channel in all the cells for a total of 48 100-watt drivers. Both have been discontin...
