Re: Vintage siren photos thread

Came across this while browsing vintageaerials.com. A Whelen WS-2000R and a Model 2 (behind the belfry). Ironically the Whelen is gone and the presumably much older Model 2 is still there. Rocks Village, MA in 1986.

Re: Post your leaning siren finds

Very random find, and I thought it was worthy of a mention here.

Sterling K-5s - Made in 1936?

Today I came across a picture on a historical pictures Facebook page of a town near me which shows a Sterling K-5 on the building in the picture. The Post mentions the siren was installed in April 1936. Was Sterling really making K-5s that early on? I understand they made the M series as early was t...

Re: 1-5-22 Moore's Mill Volunteer Fire Department 2001-SRNB Siren Short Alert Test, Moore's Mill, AL

I wonder how is it possible that they would install a 130 then later a SRNB. If there was no siren there in 2007, and the SRNB was discontinued in 2006, then it would’ve had to have been a 130 if the siren was brand new. Perhaps it was an older siren from 2006 or earlier they put there?

Richmond, New Hampshire Mystery Siren

This looks like one of those “upside down” Darley Champions, but I’m not totally sure. Can anyone identify this? Whatever it is it has no housing. Siren is located in the tower. https://www.google.com/maps/@42.7546156,-72.2730353,3a,75y,354.02h,95.14t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sTmrhBp8wjgp6j-3qL6oRAg!2e0!7...

Here's an incredibly low sitting Type B in Florida that I bet nobody knows about.
I believe it's also an active fire siren, which is pretty crazy.
Imagine just casually using the ATM when all the sudden that thing fires off

Has anyone seen the Milhousen 3T22? It is as low as hell and active!
There are several videos of it on YT.

Re: Just purchased a Tempest T-128

Did you happen to get it from someone in New Hampshire? Someone in NH was selling T-128s that were previously used for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant which closed in 2014.

What’s more shocking than how low it is is that FS thought it was OK to put it like that and allowed them to.
