it took a while to get going there. wonder whats wrong with it?
I'd say it's probably a combination of age, environmental conditions, and electronic components starting to drift out of spec.

Re: Mystery Omni-Directional Siren my Uncle collected

That is indeed a Fedelcode Model 20. Next time you're there, try to take the shroud off of the siren and get a better shot of the internals if possible! That doesn't look completely like a Fedelcode though.... https://i.ytimg.com/vi/f4jD6o0M_xA/maxresdefault.jpg https://i.ytimg.com/vi/6KtIxIx9Weg/m...

Re: Federal Signal 2001-SRNB at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia

Good to see another GA enthusiast on here! Would I be correct in assuming that's in Athens? Fantastic! I actually just moved here recently (in September) with my parents, all the way from Ardmore, Oklahoma. I'll definitely miss hearing their system of ASC T-128 sirens, but I'm looking forward to do...

Federal Signal 2001-SRNB at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia

This siren has definitely seen some better days. https://doc-04-74-mymaps.googleusercontent.com/untrusted/hostedimage/34inlvp2nevp569hdijl540npg/ut256rg4s7m7v95rhmom5li9ks/1693180638500/52Wp9abhWOGz8Jaedy6FE6fOKcRiq0--/08613494526066885668/5ACnmet41t9ymDnyh1llVKIYNT2XAqY5RSRplT0baIq42fDl-k42-viexKQ...

Re: The last remaining ASC RM-130 in Ardmore, Oklahoma

WOW! Oklahoma to Georgia?! That's definitely one far move! Interesting how the tower is painted in 2 different colors. The 130 also seems to be mounted on a bit of blower pipe, but that could be something else. Assuming you are looking at the part directly under the rotator, I'm pretty sure it's no...

The last remaining ASC RM-130 in Ardmore, Oklahoma

Last pictures taken before I moved from Ardmore, OK to Watkinsville, GA. According to an old post about Ardmore's RM-130s, this particular siren replaced a roof-mounted Thunderbolt. In fact, if you look closely, you will see the lower half of the tower mount is colored yellow. The only clue that sh...

Re: what are the most common types of sirens?

In the US, the "big 3" siren manufacturers are ASC (American Signal), Federal Signal, and Whelen Engineering. There is another somewhat smaller corporation known as ATI, or "Acoustic Technologies Incorporated", that makes sirens of questionable quality and reliability. I myself d...

Re: BOARD UPDATES: March 9, 2021

Somewhat off-topic, but is there any way I can change my username? It's the name that shows up in green.
I want to change it to something like "Sirens Galore", but I can't find any way to change it without having to create an entirely new account.
