Re: AUS unknown siren model

That seems to be a Grifco 999! These are pretty much just an Australian version of a Carter. Incorrect. This appears to be a GEC/BGE 12/14 port siren (yes we still haven't figured what its real model name is yet). This is what they look like without the housing. HX56 has contacted the guy about this.

EOWS 115s in Sparta, IL

Since I haven’t heard much about this small system I figured I’d shine some light on it in hopes to find out if these are still around and work or not. I’ve seen on google streetview that all 115s in the town are equipped with Whelen vortex cabinets except for one which uses an ESC-2020. I’m curious...

Re: SirenCon P-50 Explosion

From what I heard, it inhaled a chunk of fibreglass ultimately cracking the chopper. Close up videos are already being released. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBdALpJCfAk The P-50 had already been decommissioned previously after seizing from ingesting fibreglass. However, fibreglass ingestion doe...

Tarro Fire and Rescue Grifco 888 Siren Test

Recently this Grifco 888 was refurbished and received an overhaul with its motor and had a newer version housing put in. This was probably the loudest siren I’ve heard so far! The last siren test being Cessnock, the 888 struggled to run at full power hence making it more quiet. Anyways, this was Lig...

Cessnock Local Government Area Flood Sirens

On April 21, Lightningfun64 and I ventured to the Hunter Valley Region to visit the flood sirens in Cessnock, Abermain and Weston. We photographed all four while discovering Weston’s fire station being demolished. Cessnock Council/LGA purchased four SiRcom SiBT-500 sirens and installed them all in S...

These would be my most favorite shots of all time. Albury Civic FRNSW's Grifco 888 during sunset! :D
