Yeah, you would think that if the siren is leaning more than 5 degrees left or right it would cause premature failure of the motor bearings.

An inactive STL-10 Siren above the Barre Fire Company 4 miles south of Albion, NY. If you look up on YouTube of an STL-10 siren test in Hustisford, Wisconsin, that is what it used to sound like. 8 years ago it was rendered inactive.
