Is it worth getting? Or should I get an MS 590 instead? Thanks!

From what I can gather, they are an opt-in emergency alert system, which means they do not use a siren to alert the residents of danger. Instead, they use text messages and email messages to alert people who are signed up.

In short term: no, they send email alerts.
