Thanks Non-Zero for the info. That's pretty much how i've drawn out the power circuit and with 120v control. I do have a 200 amp service box in my shop so that is no prob adding a breaker and rated outlet. The timer seems doable too. My biggest question is slamming 220v without a soft starter. The i...

Thank you for the replies guys. So it looks like i'll be building my own controller. The biggest challenge i'm finding is finding a soft starter that is rated for 60 amps & single phase. Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley, etc don't make any for those specs but i might have found one made by Carl...
