Re: Google not recommending siren maps anymore?

Is there something we can do about this? We might have to have another list of popular maps on the Siren Board again to make sure that the maps are actually accessible to people who haven't saved them or bookmarked them. I'm probably guessing that Google isn't thinking that the maps are "offici...

Re: San Francisco during the Apollo 11 splashdown

There's also this: https://diva.sfsu.edu/collections/sfbatv/bundles/238513 I think the Heath Engineering "Instant-Blast" horizontal siren can be heard going off at 0:09 in this! This is amazing! If I'm not mistaken (which I usually am), you're actually the first siren enthusiast to find t...

Google not recommending siren maps anymore?

(guess I could've posted this on the siren maps page) Recently, while searching up state siren maps, I've noticed that Google isn't recommending the maps as one of the first options anymore, like it did not too long ago. It isn't with state maps, either. It seems that every map doesn't show up anymo...

Re: Dutch Flat, CA - What is this?

The google street view shows that It wasn't here before, so I'm guessing it's also on display. There doesn't seem to be any power running to it either (unless it's very hidden), so it's going to be really hard to figure out what it sounds like. Unless it has more ports than horns, it's probably a 6-...

Re: SirenCon P-50 Explosion

From what I heard, it inhaled a chunk of fibreglass ultimately cracking the chopper. Close up videos are already being released. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBdALpJCfAk The P-50 had already been decommissioned previously after seizing from ingesting fibreglass. However, fibreglass ingestion doe...

Re: SirenCon P-50 Failure

I've never seen the inside motor cover of a P-50 before! That motor seems pretty small for a 50HP, unless it looks like that just because how massive that horn is. It seems that there's a lot of empty space in the back as well!

Re: SirenCon P-50 Explosion

This P-50 was originally from Schaumburg, IL, as seen in this topic: https://www.airraidsirens.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30071 It does make sense though why they took it down and replaced it with an ASC T-135! I'm hoping whoever has this now actually finds a way to fix it, but a welded shut choppe...

Re: ACA Hurricane locations help

I thought only one hurricane was left? In wisconsin The Hurricane in Milwaukee is the last one in service, but not the last in existence. Several are in private possession. I did forget to say as well that the Garland Hurricane was removed in 2004 and sold in an auction to a member on the siren boa...
