Re: Bear Creek, WI mystery siren

By the horn, it's very likely an older Sterling M-10. If you can find any pictures of a side view, It would be easier to tell if it was a Sterling M-10 or Y-10.

Here is a picture of one: (credit to amtrak3501)

Re: Hi, I'm the owner of the 2nd known Cosgrave/Codwell

With bringing up the Jerome Cosgrave, I realized something: Do you have the original controller for it?

Also, I'm kind of wondering how far away the Cosgrave was from your property :)

P.S. You should change your signature to "Proud owner of the 2nd known Cosgrave siren to ever exist"!

Re: Clarendon, PA Mystery siren

I'm not so sure actually, because you can kinda make out chopper ports, and it looks like it has way too many ports to be a STH-10 or STL-10.

Re: Cosgrave siren In Jerome

It might be hard to get the certain types of parts to get it back working. The thing is, if this is real, we also don't know if the motor was burnt or any other parts!

Re: The Ferry building Heath siren

This and the zoomed out photo are the only 2 that I can find. If there are any other pictures, please try to get them onto the forum (Also they say it has an instant startup feature, but how fast would it have actually spun up?)!

The Ferry building Heath siren

Does anyone know what happened to the Heath siren that was on top of the Ferry building? It was supposed to go to a museum, but people keep saying it's not in there. It was replaced by a Thunderbolt 1000, which was then replaced by an ATI HHPS-16. If you look on google maps, you can see where it use...

It looks like the motor is 3 phase, so you will need proper machinery to get the motor running, if it even does!

Make sure you can use it outside, like test it on full power on your testing day!

Re: An End of an Era - Federal Electric Mach. 3

I'm guessing this is rare because of the siren's ports? Also, you should see if you can get it into a siren system!

Clarendon, PA Mystery siren

Sorry for kind of a triple post, I am working on my mystery siren map. Anyways, I'm confident that this is a mystery siren. It has a gigantic rain cover with no horns. It can't be a FS model, because it's upside down. It could possibly be a very heavily modified STH-10, but I highly doubt it. It doe...
