Great! Thanks! I was looking through the sirens, trying to find one not too far out of downtown...but more in suburban areas where I would have more space to shoot. Plus, I have to be at work at as close to two here as possible lol. I found the Epworth/Junietta one and thought that would be a decen...

It happened to me once. Jan of 09. I went to film the Mt.Airy towers Tbolt 1000. The test was canceled due to a train derailment in the West End. Cars were carrying propane.

I bet the rotator is tripped on the White Oak 1000T for the 3rd time at least since we had a lot of snow, so I guess it will just have to stay that way until it is replaced. :( I'll find out Wednesday since i'm just up the street. It sounded like it had rotation last month. Clayton had said that he...

It's a 9/12 siren, but it's probably not an Allertor, since it doesn't sound like it's rotating. It could be a Model xT, an SD-10, or even a Banshee. It's running a little slow, so I'd say it's either single phase, or sickly. That's gotta be an SD-10 or 5T with that Thunderbolt. Whatever combo it i...

Re: January 5th siren test

I don't think it will be replaced yet, because I asked about the installations of new sirens last week, and I was told that the first 3 T-128s to be installed will replace the P-10/15 at the Miami Twp. Fire Station on Shady Lane, the SD-10s in Sayler Park, and the Thunderbolt at Sands Montessori. T...

Waterloo, Iowa replaced their old sirens with T-128s within the recent years, I'm not sure of they have replaced every siren yet though. Las Animas, Colorado(or maybe all of Bent County) has a few new T-121s. I know Memphis has a few new T-128s purchased about 1-2 years ago, but we'll see if they g...

ASC city and nuclear power plant installs.

Does anyone know of any other cities besides Cincinnati or nuclear power plants that are replacing with ASC sirens?

Midwest City once used their former system of Allertors to signal the start of a parade of all things. I was at a parade in a nearby town about 10 years ago and they did that. It was my first encounter with a P-50, and I was about 150 ft away  That'll get your attention real quick.

Being that my Daughter likes sirens as much as I do. She would want to get my model A out and wind it up. That would not be a good idea. Well at my house anyway.
