The chopper I think is aluminum, but the stator is steel or iron.

If the chopper did still somehow spin, I'd bet the stator would shatter from all the rust damage and vibrations.

Oh my god... talk about post-apocalyptic!

Hang on a second, the rotor is made of aluminum (the one in my model 5 is aluminum), and if the motor somehow survived... It might still run!? :shock:

Those little motors must have a lot of torque, the NH and 8 I recorded both twisted upon activation.

I think what happened was the sirens were originally single tone, but civil defense requires dual tone. So the extra chopper was stuck onto the back.

These are both my videos, and I know a few answers to some of the questions here. They are both the same siren, it's just the eclipse 8 has horns. That's what NH stands for, (N)o (H)orns. I'm imagining the chopper is from a model 3 or 2, because this is a very small siren in person. That faint hummi...

I've recorded one of these, and it seems pretty small for a siren. But I had no idea the motor was THAT small! Is it that small on an NH too?

Sounds like you are talking about the 1st gen 2001, I think it was called the 2001-ac.
