Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

I forgot to mention this in my last post, but in that same pdf that I posted above, it says that the NWS called "Station X" in Cincinnati to activate the sirens. Does anyone have any idea what "Station X" is/ was? Station X was the old pump house for the Eden park reservoirs and...

That was actually part of the system. Apparently, it remained active for a while after the T-128s were installed, but I have no idea about now.
It is decommissioned.

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

Tornado warnings in the area! Sirens near my house went off around 5:00. Right now, I’m hearing other sirens in other zones. Hamilton County now does 3 minute activations with 7 minute intervals. My part of town must not be a big threat right now. Good thing Hamilton County conducted a test yesterd...

Yeah, we’ve all known that for years. SIRENMAN has had it at his shop ever since. Many discussions about it in this thread and elsewhere in the forum.
Yep still there!

The T-128s have the old blue ASC logo BTW, so they were most likely installed before 2007. I think they switched to the circular logo in 2006.
I helped Clayton build and install the T-128`s and I think but not sure that we installed them in 2005, it was my first time working with metal poles.

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

This is just wrong I have worked with Clayton for 13 years and he is a very trusting person is willing to help anyone that is
interested in sirens. It saddens my heart that someone would take advantage of a kind and caring man.
If who ever did this man up and make it right!
