Let's see 1. The siren weights about 250lbs. It's a Sterling 2V8 3HP It's a little hard to carry it up a ladder. The 2T weights about 60lbs That I could carry up the ladder. 2. It was never hooked into the county's system even tho I would love that, they use ASC compualert system. I have a AR timer....

That siren was IN service were it sat (To heavy to put on top of the building) untill the 2T were up on the building

Could be a howell motor My STL has the same looking motor but bigger we thought it was a GE we might be wrong. I will bring that up with bill my STL might just have a howell on it.

This is a old Federal Special order for the military. GE or possible a Howell motor 12 ports Red Arrow Siren service just finished rebuilding one of these. the siren came form the Texas

Sirens are not so intemidating once you start taking them apart. But what always got me was they look so small up on the pole untill you get one on the ground and you say wow it reallly is bigger than I thought. This is for sure when you buy one and when you go get it it's like oh dear how am I goin...
