Re: It's a big horn.

Thanks guys. I don't have anything to hook it up to... I'll have to start checking CL and see if I can find something. If all else fails, they can't be that hard to make, can they?

It's a big horn.

Can anyone tell me about this horn I picked up? It has absolutely no markings that I can find. I was told it was military, but I'm pretty sure it isn't. It had supposedly been hooked up outside to a record player. The diameter is about 19", as is the length. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...

Russian Vehicular Sirens?

Does anyone know what the typical unit / speaker in a Russian police car would be for modern use? I would also like to know what they would have been running around the 1970s to early 1980s.

Not sure what is in the restoration plans for it after making it functional. They've made a few different models of these, and I think they might s...

Clamp a vice-grip down on them and slowly, SLOWLY turn them. If you don't go slowly enough, you're going to end up drilling out half the screw, and that isn't any fun. Replace the screws when you're done.

There is also the Fedral Electric (Federal Signal) Type B both single and dual head. Is the C 3 1/2 is the same as the Type B? Nope. I have both...not even slightly similar. B is horizontal and much older, 3hp, with a very strange housing. The C3 1/2 is vertical, 7 1/2hp, and the same housing as a ...
