Choose a school that best fits your educational needs, more so than for the sirens that surround it. Oh, no doubt! I'm just trying to find out ahead of time what's goin' on in the areas. I'm interested in pursuing a BS and MS in computer science, IT, or CIS, and so far, UNT (the main school) seems ...

My inspiration behind these questions comes from the fact that I'm heavily interested in attending college somewhere in north Texas after I get my general education stuff done at a community college (I graduate high school in June). The colleges I'm interested in are: University of North Texas UT Ar...

Do you know of any areas close to Denton (specifically UNT) that use attack?

Also, what about UT Dallas and UT Arlington?

Thanks again!

Denton, TX - Siren Question

Anyone here familiar with Denton's T-128s? Do you know if they sound them in attack for warnings, or just alert?

Thanks!

Coronado, CA Siren Test

My dad just forwarded me an e-mail he received from his work (he works in the Navy base at Point Loma, just above Coronado) that the city will be testing their siren system on May 5th at 9AM for 10 minutes. I had no idea they had a siren system, but upon further investigation, found this: http://www...

I haven't received a response yet, but I just found this:

It looks like St Paul is looking at replacing their system of Thunderbolts. Has anyone heard about this? Any more info?

Well - I fired off an e-mail to the Ramsey County Director of Emergency Management inquiring about a map or a list of sirens in the county, specifically St Paul, so we'll see where this gets us.

There are some videos on YouTube of some of St. Paul's sirens, and in the video descriptions, it will say where exactly the sirens are located. Here are some links to the videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVumK296lEU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-OhEklCGlM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE9...
