Sentry woud have a pretty tough siren if they utilized the 10 port rotor of the 40V2T in a directional unit. It could be great siren, but they would definately have a difficult time selling it up against the already-established 2001 and Tempest...even rotating Whelens. I reckon that was their reaso...

If I'm not mistaken, Type Bs are approximately the dimensions of a sideways Model 5. Definately not a Model 2 or a Model A.

The shot of the Sterling there would make a neat desktop background if it was higher-resolution. It's too bad you couldn't get photos of the Hornet too.

I'd like to see ASC or Federal take a shot at a newer rotating electronic siren. If I'm not mistaken, the top-line MOD is rated by Federal Signal at 128dB. I wonder if they could stick some MOD drivers in a rotating head and get over 130.

videogamer wrote:Wow! That thing looks crazy high! About how high was it? Also the weird thing is it looks like it is not on a pole, just directly on the blower pipe itself.
I think it's on a proper pole and the blower pipe runs up the middle inside the pole.
