The 2001 DC at my school does the same thing. I did a beautiful double-take the first time I saw it had changed direction.

We all know what its like to be new to stuff. Anyway, the drill is organized by the NWS but the people who are in charge of the sirens, and set them off may vary. You were right, as it would do no harm to email the NWS, but you will get the right information from your local emergency management. He...

This is in Denver. I looked at several News reports online before emailing, all the local stations said the NWS was in charge of the test. Some sources: The Denver Post CBS 4 News 9 News First sentence of the News 4 link: Tornado sirens will blare at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in a statewide test by the Na...

The horn on that Allertor looks just a little dingy. I'm just nitpicking the cosmetics here, but it's the case nonetheless.

And that Hurricane is a real treat. It looks pretty cool hidden in the metalwork there. Good find. :D

Actually, that would be a good idea if I could match up the hi-lo transitions with the beat of the song. *goes searching for hi-lo sounds*

Song with Whelen WPS-2809

Just for fun. :D Thought I'd share a song I made called F5 featuring some screaming tornado chasers and a Whelen 2809.

I know the style won't be to everyone's taste, but again this is just for fun.
