Looks like the 3016 that used to be at Lindbergh Elementary (8900 blk of East 11th) was pretty recently replaced with a 2910. I live about 7 blocks away.

Picture of the old 3016...I hope to get a photo of the 2910 tomorrow or Friday.

Might need to have some of you help me with this, I've posted video before but usually from my home so I can always hear two different siren types. I was mobile for this one and about one mile west of my house, so it's likely the same sirens but one is a little more dominant than the other. Tulsa us...

Those are all Whelens.
And the unknown one you note has a tag on it that says "Broken Arrow". Guessing both of those are from BA.

Most of the ones in Tulsa I've seen lately are Whelen 3016s. We have 84 sirens and they're pretty spot on during the warnings. I believe most of the 3016s are dualtones, and we do have a few of the Whelen 4004(?) I believe. I'm still in the process of mapping them on Google Earth, but since we're in...

City of Tulsa provided map of siren locations

For anyone interested, with a caveat: The one I recently took photos of is not on the map. That may be due to a news report I saw on KTUL that did a story noting that this specific siren was struck by lightning and is not working. http://static.ktul.com/documents/sirensmap110206.pdf Here is the stor...

Speaking of Modulators, here's a really cool recording of several of them, both dual and single tone, at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. There's a really cool Doppler effect from the wind on the single tone Mod in the distance after the dual tone Mods wind down. http://www.youtube.com/...

Re: May 18-20 Tornado Outbreak Videos

That's definitely an STH-10 or TBeam in that last video. In the video with the TBeam and the foul language, I cracked up when the guy complained about it getting louder every time. Guess he doesn't know what a rotational siren is. In the videos from Tulsa, the high pitched sirens are Whelen 3016's....
