It seems to peak at about 650 hz sawtooth. Or about the note E5. I'd bet my money on a underpowered federal.

The Dual Rotor Fedelcode That is possibly 9/9, I believe is in Mt. Union,PA.

About the Federal 1, I've heard it's just a L in an outdoor housing. And the dual rotor federalcodes, I've seen a video of a single tone model that could possibly be 9/9 according to it's pitch.

I recently found a mounted and running American Signal Corporation E-Class Siren.

That's one rusty old T-bolt.

What I think may have happened is they shut it off early when it was going up on the wail cycle and it got stuck at that one pitch before shutting off.

The sound probably covers better by going vertically across the horizon instead of horizontally.

Heh, the voice annoucement must have been done by a guy with a really deep voice.

Is it me or is the out-take on the Mobil Directo mounted vertically?

That solves it. It sounded pretty low pitched.

Where is it located? If you know the location, I can go and take some pictures of it.
