Re: Bucking The Trend, Louisville Clings to CD-era Sirens

Have you already recorded the Waggener bolt in its newest form? No, i've only filmed the Thunderbolts at Wilder Elementary School, Olmsted Academy, and the low pitched one on Logan Street. I also recorded the 3T22 on Highview Fire Department Station 2 and i attempted to record the Modulator by the ...

Re: Bucking The Trend, Louisville Clings to CD-era Sirens

Welcome back to the board! Thanks for this write-up, it's terrific to see towns hanging on to their old systems. And thank you for putting a note in the bottom about the outbreak the other days ago. Thank you! I'll be better about being around here more vocally- I still record our tests every 2nd T...

Bucking The Trend, Louisville Clings to CD-era Sirens

Yo! It's Tyler from Louisville. I have been a member of this forum for at least 10 years but haven't had much time to post lately (adulting sucks), and I don't even know if anyone remembers me anymore! Anyway, I frequently read what's going on. Tonight I wanted to share this with you. There's lots o...

Westport Elementary - Louisville, KY

Caught this bad boy, which is located at Westport Elementary School, last month and I swear it must be the healthiest Thunderbolt left in Louisville!

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

Of any old sirens believed to still be active, there are videos of each. In Hamilton County, the most interesting sirens remaining in the system are the four early 90s generation 2001-SRNs in Sharonville, as well as the Excel T-128 in Harrison Township. Some of the guys got videos of the T-128 a fe...

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

Hey all. I have this Wednesday off so thought about heading up to record a test in Hamilton Co. I'm assuming all the old bolts and CD sirens are decom'd now, but is there anything unique or interesting to check out?

Thanks in advance!

Re: How many counties still use thunderbolts?

As of my last drive through the city on Friday, Jefferson County Kentucky (Louisville) still has 29. Twenty-seven are 1000T's (two are 4/5's), and one is a 1000.

FS Thunderbolt 1000T - Louisville, KY

I upload videos to YouTube all the time but figured I would start posting them here too. Here is one of two of our 4/5 port Thunderbolt 1000T's. I shot this in February. Blower audio comes second. Thank you for watching!

Re: Active 1000T in Richardson, TX?

Even if it is still active, I doubt you would hear it. If you click here then zoom in, you'll see the blower doesn't appear to be connected to the pipe.
