Re: Alertronic 5000 blueprints/schematics

It is possible. There is a lot of ACA documentation at ASC, that I am waiting on approval to go through. I have been trying for three years to get the OK to do so, but there has been hesitance from ASC management. Should there be a leadership change in the coming years, I think we will have answers ...

Re: ACA hurricane siren map (more locations + info needed)

In regards to the Elk Grove Village water tower Hurricane, it was not on the ground next to the tower. I checked Cook County historical aerials from 1998, and it shows the P-50 but no Hurricane near the tower. In fact, I remember someone who has a contact at Fulton that the Hurricanes sat in their ...

Re: ACA hurricane siren map (more locations + info needed)

This information might be helpful. Also, where did you guys get the information that Greenfield Park had a Hurricane before the P-50. We have no record of one being there.

Re: Vintage ACA Tapes Now With 2nd Tape

Massive 8 year bump (sorry): Unfortunately it seems that these tapes are no longer available through the previous YouTube links. Does anyone know of any re-uploads or copies? It would be a shame to lose these, as they were very interesting. I belive that Justin re-posted them on his YouTube. If he ...

Re: ASC Sirens have more tones?

Thanks for the information about the RTU. I will be able to Change the signals and store them on the EEPROM and replace the 40 pin adapter (I replace and solder circuits as a hobby). I have ran custom tones on my E-Class before. I guess i was thinking it was a different controller that could only r...

Re: ASC Sirens have more tones?

To make a long story short, you can reprogram the RTU to do whatever you want. The six buttons can be programmed for whatever signal you want. Normally cancel is programmed for regular cancel which is the abrupt cut-off because ASC assumes if you are cancelling it you want the siren to stop ASAP. Th...

Re: 1986 ACA Alertronic 6000R

Apparently the Carson-recommended equivalent First off, best of luck. Looking beautiful. This made me wonder: did Carson make everything for ACA's electronics in the early days? Curious what, if anything, ACA did in house with the electronic components. Carson made both revisions of the old analog ...

Re: Is "Test" Actually a option on siren control panels?

In the world of American Signal sirens, we have a function called "Test". This is generally what button 1 on the CompuLert controller is programmed for. All it does is engages the main siren motor for one second and rotates for like 6 or seven seconds. It is basically a growl test. No matt...

Re: Eden, WI STH-10?

The STH-10 by the pizza place was the only one replaced because it no longer worked. I'm pretty sure they only bought a rectifier and Eclipse siren head and that everything else from the old STH-10 was re-used.

Re: Waukesha legacy system

Very cool! When I lived there, the alertronics were dual toned. I heard most of them go off over the years. Obviously the one at West was not. The eows were also dual toned but obviously used the federal tone generator so sounded a bit different. I never knew that they upgraded the tone generators,...
