Here's a clip I found of the Madison Parish, LA tornado recorded across the Mississippi River in Vicksburg, MS. The siren heard is a Federal EOWS*612 which I was able to find on maps.live.com. lol, acts likie a snow blower to me. You could take snow from your driveway or whatever, pack it into the siren and have the siren blow it away

Another resident, Chris Kent, Southwest Greensburg police chief, said he thinks it would be a disservice if the department is forced to disable its siren because the area is notorious for poor radio, pager and cell signals. All the better to HAVE the siren so you can warn the area of severe weather...

If you only activated the chopper for one or two seconds at a time, you may be able to get a better whoop out of a 1003, but it would have to be low pitched, and there would have to be 3 to 5 second pauses between each chopper activation.
