Re: Disa Gas Powered Siren Acquired!

Excellent points, Jeb. Thank you! For all of my small engines (lawnmower, weed eater, blower, etc) I always use pure gas. It seems like it is getting harder to find stations around here that sell ethanol free gas. Anyways, I will continue to keep everyone updated on the ETA as well as a walk around...

Re: ACA Allertor Question

Actually if i remember correctly, standing at the bottom of pole and looking up at the siren the head assembly will rotate clockwise but looking into the motor impeller it will be turning counter-clockwise. I also think the siren output is de-rated by 1/3 if running backwards too. P-50's also are li...

Re: Oak Creek WI P 50

Wow John I haven't heard from you in forever. Did you by chance take down these sirens? Jeb, been super busy as usual...had to post on this thread since it brings back memories.. I didn't remove these but did put one of those up for the factory back in the early 90's. I'll never forget it....we wer...

Re: Oak Creek WI P 50

Motor with 90 degree gear reducer with clutch and gear. Chain drives main gear on shaft. Clutch will allow siren to slip during heavy winds so the massive horn doesn't catch too much wind. Clutch and chain needs adjustment every so often or else they break then free-wheel in the air like a weather v...

Here is a link posted in the manual section for your receiver....

http://www.jeffclifton.com/eric/Older%2 ... 55293E.pdf

There is a section that describes how to determine if you have a one, two or three tone receiver and a chart to get the tones. Hopefully it helps.

Very big problem for the aging P50 siren. We do refurbish these sirens with re-enforced fiberglass horns and screen stabilzers.

Yes, those are rebuilt P15's in Downers Grove. We still refurbish them for customers that can't afford to replace the whole siren when theirs burn up. We have also retrofitted Alertors with new fiberglass and turned them into P10's. We also refurbish P50 sirens as well. The Penetrator series sirens ...

A single-phase P-10 should reach maximum RPM after 4-7 seconds. You never got close to max RPM. The single-phase P-10 controller is complicated with the start/run capacitors switched out with the voltage sensing relay. One poor connection and the motor will not start right. A word of caution - the m...

The T132 is offically named the T135 AC/DC. The pdf for the T135 AC is updated to the new design. I have installed two so far and am getting ready to put up 12 in the next month or so. They are exactly like the T128, just on steroids. The T135 is also 72VDC vs. 48VDC.

I would like to thank everyone for their responses. To clarify some issues, I would like to add some further information.... The sirens are not available yet, hopefully this summer. They are 25 + years old with cosmetic flaws that will vary from rust, dents, holes, paint, etc... The exact models wil...
