I just drove through Fairfield Tx today and discovered they have within the last year or so, put in ATI sirens. At least three of them. wonder if they are still using their model 2 at the fire station.
can i pick two ? I would have to say sentry as my number one choice because like a previous thread said, they put a lot of pride in their work. i like federal second but i also have seen some pretty impressive american signal products.
just read an article in our local paper that the city of killeen tx is getting 21 sirens for killeen. ft hood already has 22 of the federal modulators on the base and with killeen right next door, they wanted a system compatible with the ft hood system. my guess is federal will be putting in modulat...
i hope to be out in the bad stuff with cameras in hand. one of my hobbies besides fighting fires, is storm chasing, hopefully i will get some sirens for you. unfortunaly my area just don't have the big storm outbreaks like they do further north. take care
in answering the question about the old sirens. ft hood had a lot of model 5's and a couple of model 2's. they just did'nt have enough to cover the base. with the new syatem they have 22 of these mods.
