We only have 1000s and 2001s here in Champaign-Urbana. I was at the U of I campus back in March, and saw a Thunderbolt high ontop of a building where the main restraunts and shops are (can't remember the name for that). Im guessing that one is in use? Was it on a parking garage? That's the only one...

From the outside, you cant tell, they are the same. But the inside...oh yeah!

Now I'm a little confused. Most of the original thunderbolts were dual-tone right? Wasn't there some civil defense regulation with that?

So would this most likely be a dual tone siren? If so, I'd LOVE to hear it go off. We only have 1000s and 2001s here in Champaign-Urbana.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The horn screen being black gives it a really bold look appropriate for a T-bolt such as this one.

It looks like at least the horn and chopper housing have been repainted recently. I'd love to see them fix up the rest of the siren. Maybe get some new logos and repaint the rest of it.

I was thinking more along the lines of schematics, what is the actual mechanism of the siren?

Cute cat, Daniel!

Neat. If I take a weekend trip up to Springfield anytime soon I'll be sure to get some pics.
