Really far if the conditions are right, my area has 2 STH-10s (A high toned one(Cover Hill VFC) and a low toned one(Oakland VFC)) and one STL-10(Upper Yoder VFC) and sometimes it sounds like there are 2 but there is only one, mainly here cause the sound echos through the valleys and hills. Yes it still runs, because there are no other sirens near this Fire Station, other then a disconnected model 5/7 12 port a half of a mile away...
