This thread is for sirens that have been made out of something else eg. A blender or a heat machine.

Post here if you like idk.

Re: Lowest mounted Siren in US

Some of the Mobil Directo sirens in the Memphis area were quite low-mounted.

Re: Miscellaneous Siren Photos Thread

Since 2022 is near, I thought I'd show a few pictures I have taken in 2021. Thunderbolt 1000 in Atkins, Arkansas. Atkins.png Sentry 16V2T and a Screamer in Pottsville, Arkansas. Pottsville.png Lot of ATI HPSS-32s at Entergy in Russellville, Arkansas from Arkansas Nuclear One's previous system. Arkan...

Atkins, AR refurbished Thunderbolt pictures.

Recently, I took a road trip up Fort Smith to see some of my cousins for the holiday. While I was in Atkins, I took the opportunity to take some pictures of one of their recently refurbished Thunderbolt 1000 sirens. It's quite interesting to see a town sticking to its old civil defense era sirens. :...

Fun fact: if you go into 2002 satellite (picture shown here) you can see the horn on the ground (this is what I believe is the horn)
They likely kept the fiberglass horn to be sold while they scrapped all the metal components (similar to what happened to the Baxter Hurricane).

Re: The last remaining ASC RM-130 in Ardmore, Oklahoma

WOW! Oklahoma to Georgia?! That's definitely one far move! Interesting how the tower is painted in 2 different colors. The 130 also seems to be mounted on a bit of blower pipe, but that could be something else. Assuming you are looking at the part directly under the rotator, I'm pretty sure it's no...

The ACA Hurricane at Werden's place is just for display purposes. Don't think he is selling it anytime soon.

Re: All ACA Hurricane Locations

Wasn't there a rumor about a red ACA hurricane? I don't know if this is true and I highly doubt it was true because a different color hurricane was extremely rare. There have not been any documented red Hurricanes, but ACA could very well have produced one at some point. In one of the old ACA tapes...

Re: ACA Hurricane 130 siren

Bad news. I heard back late at night from the other owner. They said they scrapped it as quickly as they could after people were trying to look for it. I had a strong feeling this would happen. I can understand why they scrapped it, I don't think they wanted siren enthusiasts crowding around their ...
