Re: In your opinion, what is the best mounting of sirens?

I always appreciate seeing things with a neat visual impact, unusual mounting methods like water tower, cupola and even dual pole mounts or tower-like mounts. That is sheerly from an aesthetic point of view. I imagine pole mounting to be the most efficient and effective option, as far as ease, cost ...

Re: New Sirens?

I think the most recent releases were Sentry's electronic Hyperspike speaker sirens, as far as I am aware of. They're really exciting, haven't seen any pop up locally yet but the clarity of the voice is unbelievable

Red Arrows are pretty high on the creepy sounding siren scale for me, must be the port ratio. I love it, excellent footage!

Re: Whelen 2901 Lightning Siren?

That is one cool Whelen. I'm pretty sure the title was wrong since the voice messages were about water levels, making it a water siren. Is that thing in between the cell used to make the siren uni-directional? Oh whoops, you're right! I misread the title actually, it says Audio Lighting, not Lightn...

Whelen 2901 Warning Light Water Siren?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xET0roB4kg I happened upon this just now browsing youtube. It's amazing! Don't know if anyone else has seen this? I've never heard of a whelen lightning Water siren system, but I love the idea. Especially the usage of the lights there, very creative and helpful. How ...

Re: Custer Electric Inc.

A siren model focusing specifically on being easily managable by anyone is a really cool idea. I'd love to see something like this on a wider scale, to convince those stubborn counties that they won't drain their funds in maintenance fees. With weather shifts in the US being as unpredictable as they...

If memory serves there's a P15 visible from I-49/US 71. Same sky blue paint.
Very cool! I will have to stick around and do some more thorough spotting next time I have time off for sure

4th Nevada, MO Allertor 125

I found the free time to go on another siren drive, this time to Nevada, MO, to see their system. On the map I refer to it was noted to have 2 STH-10s, 3 Allertors, and 1 2t22. However, I'm not sure why it wasn't noted, there's a 4th Allertor to their system! Located here: https://goo.gl/maps/55Ms8P...

Re: Lowest mounted Siren in US

I wonder why it's so frequently fire departments that have such low mounts? Think they're trying to save money on mounting somehow?
