I still can't tell what that is. The design looks too "flimsy" to be a champion and it looks like it may be 9 port. It looks 8 port too. I'm really stuck. I guess it is a scream master of some sort. Hmmph.
Darley Champion... Check the previous page of this thread.
Nobody has actually seen the inside of the "scream master" yet. The only way of telling what it is is if we hear/get a video of it. Yes, it looks like it could be a Champion but as for now, I would just call it a mystery siren.
I have previously attempted to remove the rotor to my Model D, however, I was unsuccessful. Here's what I know: 1. remove the screw/Allen key from the shaft that holds the rotor in. Early Federal sirens have 1-2 small flathead screws inside, while the older ones have a small threaded Allen head, th...
This question goes for both my Model A and HOR. How do i take off the chopper? Do i need some sort of device to pull it out? Is there any low maintenance way to take it out?
Look at either the sticker on the rotator box or at the little notches on the back of the projector/horn. Note that neither of these photos aren't mine and do belong to their respected owners. Pretty sure that's the original paint. I suspect it was removed from a fire apparatus after a couple years of use and stored in a station for a while before being listed on Ebay. It works Wow, that's freakin awesome. That's rare enough that you have that, but for it to be in such good condition is ...
Good find. Here's one I got off eBay. It appears to be the same thing you have, except it's got a light/flasher added onto it. HOR S-L-8. HOR.PNG 57096894_413607492785889_311694697317793792_n.jpg That things awesome! Did you buy it like that or was it already restored? Does it work too? Edit: Just ...
US2487591-0 (1).pngNot yours but one of Harry's early parents. Oh wow that's awesome! Considering you have a Super Si-Rex Model 50, I knew you'd know more about HOR than I do. I recently found a video on youtube of someone who restored an HOR that looked exactly like mine. He never set it off in th...
So I recently found a small HOR siren on ebay. I bought it and it is now on the way. That being said, the id plate called it an HOR Si-Rex S1. Im curious as to what this model could be and how rare it truly is. Ive never heard of it before. The chopper and stator are 6 1/2 inches in diameter, bigger...
