What kind of siren is this? (Ruston, Louisiana)

Does anyone know what kind of siren this is? Sounds like an electronic siren. https://youtu.be/8H7zq6wvBYw (best heard around the 8 minute mark).

Re: Largest Siren Systems (Currently)

Dallas, Texas has a system of 162 sirens. However, I'm not sure if that's just in city limits, or if those are the counties sirens as a whole.

Is this a Sentry 3v8h, or short horn 7v8?

To be honest, I don't know a lot about Sentry sirens. This find was a complete accident. I saw it in a news broadcast in Center Hill Dam (north Dekalb County, TN) from 2013 on News Channel 5 (WTVF). Can someone tell me whether this is a 3v8h, or short horned 7v8? Since I am adding it to my recent si...

How rare would a k5 be?
They are pretty hard to find. The most common one would be a 12 port, but it came in a 8, 12, or 16 port from what I have heard.

Sirens Ranging from Manchester, TN All The Way To Celina, TN

Here's a map I made of some siren locations I know of. If anyone knows of any other sirens near the areas on the map, feel free to reply with the location and model name.

They are rare enough that there’s only a few known locations. The most popular N5 location is in Denver, Indiana. Probably because it does a noon blast, and isn’t just for fire calls like other ones. There’s an 8 port N5 in Akron, Pennsylvania which is pretty rare. It’s a fire siren though, so you’...

Exactly How Rare Is It To Find An Active Sterling N5 (yeah I know it's rare, but how much?...)

I have made multiple posts about the Sterling N5 in Algood, TN (which most people seemed to like :D). Just was curious as exactly how rare is it to find an active one? This particular one was installed in the early 1960s. Another by the way, This summer I will have a video of it (Probably late May d...

Thunderbolt's horns are designed to rotate if a strong enough wind-gust blows them. And seeing as it's only ever faced two directions on street view, that's likely what's happened.
Okay. I didn't know that. Thanks.

One Of Knoxville's Thunderbolts Still Work??...

I found a location of one of the Thunderbolts in Knoxville, TN, and I quickly noticed it had rotated in a different position every time back. I don't know if it's still active or what! It is located at 4098 Ludlow Avenue.

What kind of siren is this?

Here's a video (not mine) of a tornado siren going in Fairfield Glade, TN. Can anyone help identify this siren? I thought it was a Tempest siren, but the wind up is definitely too fast to be one. Thanks.
