Re: Train horn on a VAN!

I've been a huge train horn enthusiast LONG before I even cared about sirens. My favorite horn is the RS3L - just listen to its powerful and commanding tone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A90BEVgc_qM Personally, I think North American train horns are far better than any other train horns in the wor...

I was able to use WD-40 to un-bolt heavily-rusted brass horns from a junked semi truck. That should do the trick for this.

There was an old thread on here of someone who rescued a gas Mobil Directo right before it was sent to the scrap pile. I wonder what became of that siren?

That doesn't look anything like a Q. It's a 28 (it even says so on the ID tag), and it definitely needs some fixing up. Congrats on getting your first siren.

Absolutely. I think it even beats the classic 10/12 50hz sirens. It sounds so desperate for people to get into shelter, and fast.

The one in the background sounds to me like it's wired to 240v. The really slow ones you most commonly will find are on 208.

40v2ts, man... I don't even have a proper reaction to this.

Okay sounding horn, but great sounding siren. I don't think anyone has gotten a video of a Leslie horn and a siren in one video yet.

Federal's been using cheap-ass paint lately too. The Model 2 in my town is only a few years old and it's already covered in rust.
