A water tower in Milaca, MN has three Screamers on it. There should be another that is behind the reservoir.

The first one is an EOWS 115. It has six speakers on each row. Good find because those aren't too common.

As for the second one, it looks like one of those rotating ATI sirens that look like a knock-off of the Whelen 4000 and Vortex series.

The pole looks thinner than your standard utility pole on which a siren is mounted. Looks like spun concrete, so it will be thinner due to it having equivalent shear and strain resistance at a lesser thickness. Saves money, I guess. Either way, the 2001 looks massive.

Well, I do know it is one, but I'm just not sure if it stands or works. I tend to look for sirens through Google Maps whenever I feel like it to hunt for sirens. Don't ask why. :?

Last I heard, Mr. Werden is not going to be selling the Hurricane. I wouldn't, either, if I possessed one.

Maybe St. Louis used them as a coverage filler back in the day. There could be a lot of other reasons for it, too. I read that it was rated at 115 dB at 100'. Quite underwhelming, but if it gets the job done, then it gets the job done.

Someone else would have to answer that for you, for I do not know. Probably in the early 1980s, but don't take my word for it.

By fully functional, I mean actually sounding off and rotating instead of the case with the one near Lindenwood University and the various ones that did not sound.

Since they are out of production, there is no certain way of determining the price. Your best bet is to ask the county about what they will do with the siren. If they will be selling them, you could inquire about the price of what you need. Keep in mind the extra costs for removal and shipping if yo...
