Re: Siren in seekonk MA

Seekonk also had a Fedelcode Model 5 on one of its other fire stations. As of Thanksgiving the Model 5 has been removed, but the siren in the photo still stands as of last week.

Re: Model 3 restoration

Your dog sure looks curious about the siren. Looks like it's going to look great.

Re: Police Stations With Sirens

The Orleans, MA Police Department has a Thunderbolt 1003 on the roof of its station. Don't think it's active though.

Re: Where are sirens typically mounted?

Since I'm from New England, most of the sirens I see are mounted on the roofs of fire or police stations. That seems to be a common practice around here.

Um, wow. A super-short installation, and a T-bolt at that. Makes the one in Coyle, OK look high up in comparison. Why are some sirens mounted so low like that? It's boggled my mind for a while now.

@Mark N: It was at the fire department. They still have a Model X though.

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

For all the New Englanders on here, the Charlemont, MA Thunderbolt has been removed as of August 2013, or so it seems. :( I couldn't find it ANYWHERE on street view, unless it somehow got relocated. That's worth an update to the MA siren mep. Was it still in use? And was it a 1000? I remember a lot...

Whelen seems to have a huge presence in Alabama, particularly your neck of the woods. Nice pics though.
