If any of you guys know where any more Nashville Thunderbolt sirens are, or have seen any on Google/Live Maps, I'd be willing to go around Nashville, find them, and take some pictures of them for you guys.

We were going to the Parthanon and on top of a building was a thunderbolt 1000 or 1000t not sure which one it was but it was in perfect shape and no rust could it be one from the early 90's? Strange how some of those Whelen sirens have Federal Signal UltraVoice controllers on them, I wonder why.

You should try to get a recording of some of their sirens sometime, especially the 500-AT and those FS Whelens.

Not even used for tornado warnings?!? That's not right. If they don't use the sirens, what's the use of having them?! If you live in an area that gets tornadoes normally, you should definitely contact your EMA about this.

Maybe the building owners thought that adding 2 horn/strobes 12ft. apart from each other would be louder.

Ah, haven't came across this video before. It was posted Nov. 11th, 2008. Very nice video indeed, excellent quality! I sure wish he could record some more sirens, he's got the perfect equipment to record that stuff, too.
