Kailua, HI Thunderbolt 1000BT alert and Model A attack

Monthly test of the Kailua, HI civil defense sirens. The Aikahi park Thunderbolt 1000BT sounded a 1 Minute alert while my Model A sounded 4 cycles of attack. The camera was positioned 100 feet away from the Model A and around 125 yards from the thunderbolt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJQAXn9 .....

I missed the first activation but i caught the entire second one. The Model 5 installed in WW2 and is located at the Kaneohe Marine Corps Base. Although the base...

Re: Pawhuska, OK to Replace Sirens

Did anyone else notice that she said "generator back up"? ATI sirens have batteties, not generators. I've got a hunch they might be sentry's.

Model A restoration (again)

Aloha everybody, around a year ago I obtained a federal enterprises model A. I restored it and it served as a privatly owned civil defense siren out here in Kāne'ohe, Hawaii. Unfortunately the salt air really got to the paint, alot more than I expected it to! I recently moved a neighboring town call...

Re: Owning a Siren?

As stated before it is perfectly legal to own one but make sure you are not sounding it off for the heck of it. I have been operating my Model A as a cvil defence siren for over a year as a coverage gap filler for my small neighborhood. I reccomend that you only set it off for monthly tests and actu...
