Old Sirens at the VC Summer Nuclear Plant

I am back on the ARS board after "lurking" for quite some time. So, I found this NRC document on accident and found out that the VC Summer Nuclear Plant in South Carolina formerly consisted of dual-toned ACA Banshees, dual-toned ACA P-10s, single-toned ACA Screamers, FS Thunderbolts, and t...

Re: American Signal RM-130 Conway, AR

Looks like you posted the link 67 seconds into the video, skipping the windup. Other than that, good video. I really like the RM-130s.

Re: What do sirens in your area warn of?

As far as I know, my county's (Kosciusko County, IN) sirens only go off for tornado warnings and sound off twice annually for the Indiana Statewide Tornado Drill in March. Re: Complete Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Station Siren Map

Very well done map! You are obviously the first to map out (almost) all of the Beaver Valley sirens. Definitely worth all of the time it took you.

Very nice work

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

For the California map, I found a couple of sirens via Google Street View:

Orick, CA: Volunteer FD has an STH-10. Current as of June 2018.
41.290667, -124.057000

Trinidad, CA: FD has a Model 2. Current as of October 2017.
41.059914, -124.142937

Re: Train Horn Range?

Compared to warning sirens, train horns are somewhat quieter. Most put out 100 or more dBA at 100 feet, making them not as loud as many of the most powerful sirens made today (2001, T-135 AC/DC, etc).
