Hot Springs SD Mystery Sirens

I was in Hot Springs SD in August, and we were on our way to a set of three sirens behind what looked like an abandoned school and we stumbled upon a Model 5 on the Battle Mountain Sanitarium that isn’t marked on the map. Unknown if it’s active or what it was used for. Then we went to the set of thr...

Repainting/Restoring sirens - Questions

It has a lot of mysterious gunk stuff inside the projector next to the chopper and some dirt and dust on it, and I’m wondering i...

That’s an amazing find! You got very lucky! Good luck restoring it! I’d say the first priority is painting over the vandalism if it were me.

My Model A and Model B-9 - Specs

Note that I’m just using my experience with them as my info in this, and that the two of them are about 50 or 60 years old. I’m writing this as a guide to anyone looking to buy one of these two types. Overall just saying that you should not make the investment to get a new one, you can find some pre...

Re: Yamaha Music Sirens

In my 100+ hours researching sirens over the past year, this is the best article I’ve ever found. I’ve been trying to research these sirens for a while now but I’ve encountered large language barriers or an overall lack of info

I bet a Model A would sound wicked in a place like that
Yeah, definitely! I’ll try to organise to do something like this again if I acquire any new sirens, the video doesn’t really do it justice, in-person it sounded incredible!
The gent sounds sorta like a pneumatic siren
