Re: A New Siren from Sentry Siren is Coming......

I'm gonna hope for a battery capable 'Sentry' version of the 2T22. A true American classic.

Re: STH-10 Question

Also, do those horns come off easily? Looks like four bolts for each horn maybe? and would you guys say this siren is most likely about 200lbs? It'll depend if they're rusted to the stator and/or together. Four bolts is correct: two bolts to the stator and one to a horn on each side. The bolts that...

Damn doesn't seem bad.

But yeah they're pretty big. How many HP are the chopper motors again?

Re: Trains + Sirens.

Haha that last pic of the MILW was definitely on the Pacific Extension somewhere. Good old electrified Milwaukee Road in MT, ID, & WA. Too bad they didn't put a siren on a boxcab or a Little Joe. That would've been pure awesome. UP has always had a thing with the biggest and most badass...they h...

Re: Post 3T22/Model 5 short attack

Good question! I'm not really sure Jason. I know he still has a 2T22 out there. I haven't seen that Thunderbolt in a few years though. Something makes me think it fell over a few years ago and has never been reinstalled.

Re: Hereford Tx. Model 2 and Cyclones

Those are great videos Ben and KDK! Good job. I like the ambience. That Model 2 is actually louder than I thought it'd be. How far is the 2 from the Cyclone?

That's where that SD10 with the push button is isn't it? It was old as dirt, but very cool. And vulnerable.

Post 3T22/Model 5 short attack

So Post finally decided to test the sirens today! It's been due a long time; you can see that from all the dust and birds eggs/nests blowing out of the horns in the vid. Preceding the 3T22 activation is the Model 5. Unfortunately there was an alert tone after this attack, but I had packed up and pro...

Re: San Angelo Tx City-wide siren map

Ben, Travis and I will have to go get a video of this system in action. I'm still wondering if the elusive Amarillo P-50 was actually in San Angelo or Sweetwater since Amarillo EMA claims a P-50 was never part of the system.
