TBolt 1000 test in Alert

http://youtube.com/watch?v=RegDsEqGndg

I haven't seen this one posted here yet, and it was just recently added to YouTube. I can't hear the blower, but this siren definitely has one.

Good sounding 1000Ts there. Like the "stereo" effect. If you want a good place to host your siren sound files, I highly suggest The Freesound project. http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/index.php Good site for joining, uploading, mixing, playing back, hosting, and downloading SOUNDS (no songs/m...

That 50% drop in sound volume in the beginning of the video before the sirens wind up is very suspicious. Not only that, but just the fact that the sirens have no 'depth' to them or distance. This is just from a personal observation, but if you are a good distance away from a Thunderbolt (or any si...

Re: Whelen OA2 | Alert ? Attack ? Wail ? High|Low - Whoop -

I like the tone quality of the Whelen Vortex sirens in that YouTube video from Owensboro, Kentucky better than I like this one. The Owensboro sirens sound louder, and a whole lot clearer to me. I do like the horn tone on all the Whelens though. Does anyone know what the DB rating is on those sirens ...

Kenwood Elementary School 1000T in Alert and Attack

Here is a pair of my own siren recordings, made in May and June of 2004. I recorded both of these on test days at a friend's house. My friend's house is two doors away from Kenwood Elementary School, where this Thunderbolt 1000T is located. I was extremely lucky in June of 04, when I managed to get ...

Perhaps the best sounding TBolt video on Youtube

http://youtube.com/watch?v=oViCxssAbjY

I don't know if this has been posted before, but this is probably the best sounding TBolt video in terms of sound quality I've ever heard. They only tested this Thunderbolt 1003 in Alert mode.

Single and dual tone TBolts during a tornado warning

http://youtube.com/watch?v=10ttFBiTXZs

I can tell at least one of the single tone sirens is a TBolt, because I can hear the blower. I can also hear a dual tone TBolt winding down.

Re: Fake video list

Found another one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dQCaCs9JBU That sounds a whole lot like the demo recording of a 2001 from FS's website! Sounds like the guy put some reverb on it, and possibly dubbed in another 2001 for effect. Notice the guy on the video says it's loud, but it's not very loud on ...

Re: City with the scariest sounding Thunderbolts?

Could you please link me to the videos from Louisville? I live in Louisville, and I've lived here all my life. I may recognize some of the sirens in the videos. Hope it's not too much trouble! We've got TBolts all over the place around here! In fact, most of our 119 sirens are 1000T's. If and when t...
