University of Louisville Modulator in Alert

This is a recording a friend of mine did for me back in 2002, just after Emergency Management installed a single tone Modulator on the Belknap campass at the University of Louisville. After the Mod turns off, you can hear some Thunderbolts for a while. One of them has a rotator that is set to 8 RPM....

Weird! I've never heard a Mod sound like that! If you listen to the end of the video, you can hear other Mods doing that too. I thought it was broken, until I heard the other sirens doing the exact same thing.

Here in Minnesota we often use alert tone for tornado warnings. I my county we use alert tone for both tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings. I wish that they would use the attack tone for tornado warnings so one could dicifer the difference immediately. Seconds count in these situations. Not to...

Here's the link to the other recording of that siren. http://media.putfile.com/Doss-Tornado-Warning This was recorded on Friday, May 7, 2006, during a tornado warning. The storm had already passed my mom and dad's house, which is where I was, and it was about 6 o'clock in the afternoon. That siren ...

Re: SiraTone 612 Whoop Video

That's the bad thing about YouTube. I've seen many videos posted here that were removed from YouTube for some reason. Could you please reupload the video?

Re: Dual tone Thunderbolt and possibly an EOWS series siren

That's a 1003 and a 1000T, both in attack. Usually, the tornado signal is the alert signal. I'm a little suspicious of this particular clip, because that one TBolt sounds too close. This clip might be a fake, but I'm not sure. It sounds like the 1003 may have been dubbed in. Remember, that I'm total...

Wow, spooky recording! Maybe a little bit spooky, but not as spooky as this. http://media.putfile.com/Bunch-of-Thunderbolts-in-Alert That same siren is included, but this was recorded four days later during a siren test, about a mile away from the siren. You can hear several other TBolts, including...

Is that one of those 4/5 T-bolts, it sounds like a hyped up Model 2T Oh and your first link is a direct link to the file. That is as direct as you are going to get with Putfile. That's actually a 5/6 port TBolt, but it's recorded so close to the siren, that it sort of reminds me of a 2T22, but not ...
